Support

Need help with the app? Email support@amandashouse.com and a real person will get back to you.

In an emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, any time, day or night.

If this is an emergency

Do not email us in an emergency. Nobody is watching this inbox around the clock, and the app is not an emergency service.

Call 911 if someone's life or safety is at risk.

Call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, if you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself. It is free, confidential, and open 24 hours a day.

The app has a Crisis help button, and it is always there, on every screen that needs it, whether or not you are signed in, and whether or not you have an account. It takes you straight to these numbers and to local help. You never have to hunt for it.

Common questions

How do I download the app?

Search for Amanda's House in the App Store or Google Play, or use the badges on our home page once the links are live. The app is free.

How much does Amanda's House cost?

Nothing. The app and the care team are free for the people we serve. There is no cost to you, ever.

Do I need Medi-Cal to get help?

No. You can reach out without Medi-Cal. Some services, like community health worker visits, are covered under Medi-Cal, and your care team will tell you which ones depend on it.

How do I join the network as an organization?

Book a call from the For organizations page. We walk through the shared directory, the rewards program, and how closed-loop referrals work for your reporting.

What happens after I refer someone?

A care team reaches out to the person you referred. You get an update when the referral is accepted, when a visit is scheduled, and when it is done.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Follow the steps in the Delete your account section below, or email support and ask. We confirm it is you before anything is removed.

Contact support

Email support@amandashouse.com or call (213) 761-7006 during 8am–4pm Mon–Fri. Or use the contact form.

How to get help

Something is wrong with the app

Email support@amandashouse.com. It helps if you tell us what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and what kind of phone you have. A photo of the screen is worth a paragraph.

A question about your services, your appointment or your case

Message your care team in the app, or contact the organization you are working with directly. They know your situation; we do not. We cannot change an appointment or make a decision about your case.

A question about your information, or you want it deleted

See Delete your account for how to close your account, or email privacy@amandashouse.com for anything else about your information: what we hold, correcting it, or getting a copy.

You cannot sign in

Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen first. If that does not work (you lost the phone, or the email address on the account no longer reaches you), email support@amandashouse.com, or ask your care team for a new invitation. We will confirm who you are before changing anything on an account.

You are care staff at a partner organization

Start with whoever administers the app at your own organization; they can change roles, caseloads and access. For anything they cannot fix, email support@amandashouse.com and say which organization you are with.

Delete your account

You can delete your account and your information from inside the app. If you no longer have the app, email support and ask; we will confirm who you are first.

  1. 1Open the Amanda's House app, sign in, and tap More (the last tab along the bottom).
  2. 2Tap Delete my account and confirm. Your account stops working right away.
  3. 3We finish removing your information within 30 days. Records a program is required to keep are covered in the Privacy policy.

The full steps, what is deleted, what has to be kept, and what to do if you cannot sign in are all on the Delete your account page.

About the app

Amanda's House powered by AURA is a free app for people across Los Angeles County working toward housing, work, a clear record and benefits, and for the care staff at the community organizations walking with them. It keeps appointments, reminders, documents, messages with your care team and referrals between organizations in one place, and it rewards taking part with points you can redeem for gift cards and goods. It is available in English and Spanish. It is made and run by Autonomous User Rehabilitation Agent (AURA), a company in Los Angeles County, California.

Languages

The app is in English and Spanish. This website is in English for now, and a Spanish version of these pages is being prepared. If you would rather go through any of this in Spanish, say so in your email, or ask your care team.
